On January 1, 2022 I bought my first new palette of the year! This Huda Beauty Palette, Mercury Retrograde was on sale! How could I resist a palette that usually runs $67 for only $34! Unfortunately it looks to be sold out on Sephora.com at this time but still listed as being on sale.
I have been having so much fun playing with these colors and creating cool looks for the new year.
I think I've been having the most fun with the shimmers and blues. They have become my thing a little bit but they are so much fun to play with. They blend really nicely. I do notice from all blues regardless of the brand the fallout is more but this one is not terrible.
The neutrals, mauve and golds have also been a lot of fun and I love that even in a palette that has so many glittery shimmery shades I can create perfectly acceptable work looks.
Overall I really like this palette, the colors are fantastic, they blend really well, I am able to create a wide variety of looks for all kinds of occasions, I'm really pleased. There are a few shades that you have to work to build up and I am glad I purchased this on sale but end of the day I'm glad I purchased it period. Which look is your favorite?
