What a wild week! We took the Sweet Sixteen down to eight. There were upsets as one of my most favorite palettes was sent packing, there were some extremely tight races, there were lots of fun looks, I posted my first Instagram tutorial and a bunch of silly reels and here we are The Elite Eight!
We will start with the last one to make it to the next round the Urban Decay Naked Ultraviolet palette. Truth be told I would have been devastated if this palette didn't make it. I have created so many looks with this palette, I love the shimmer, I love the matte, I love the pigment. I am in love with this palette!
This mermaid palette from Tarte inched out the competition - this perfect Summer palette has been underrated by me but I think the voters told me I have to give her more of a chance!
Colourpop stole my whole heart with this palette, speaking to my love for Limoncello and anything vaguely Italian this palette screams Mediterranean Summer and I am 100% obsessed with the green shade Capri and the yellows, swoon!
Another palette loaded with spectacular shimmers, great mattes and off the chart pigment is the Mercury Retrograde from Huda Beauty! So fun and those blues - come on how can you not love those!
This is clearly one of my absolute favorite palettes, there are four shades where the pan is very clearly visible and it has been suggested this palette get retired after this competition. I'm a huge Anastasia of Beverly Hills fan and the Norvina Palette ranks really high on the list of favorites.
Is this the little palette that could? I guess we'll see if the second Colourpop palette Amor makes it's way into the Elite Eight.
I am not going to lie to you, I'm a little bit mad at the Tasty Latte Palette from Revolution. Why you might ask - this palette knocked out my beloved Pumpkin Spice Latte palette and I was heart broken! Not that I don't love this palette because I do, I was also the dope that paired the two against each other. The pigments are great, the shimmers are great, the colors are fun! Are we looking at the sleeper of the competition? Stay tuned to find out!
And for our last of the eight - Caramel Melange by Zoeva. This palette is near and dear to me because I bought it in France. I picked this palette up in a Sephora at the mall near my hotel the young lady who helped me spoke very little English and I speak even less French but we managed and I bought many things over several visits.
Has your favorite made it into the Elite Eight? Don't forget to head over to Instagram to vote on your faves and stay tuned for next week and we make our way to the Final Four!
