It's the kick off to my favorite time of year! I love the Fall straight through my birthday in January!! So what a better way to kick off the season then with back to back horror events! Sound familiar? I did the same thing last year, the first night headed to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal with Eric. What a blast we had. Warning, we spring for the express pass tickets which cost more than the even ticket but it's well worth it when we want to get everything done in one night!
This year we also did the Scareactor dining experience and it was an absolute blast! We had done this before but this year there the Scareactors were more plentiful and the food was much better. We would definitely do this again!
We also made it through all ten houses, all the scarezones, the show, and a few rides. It was fantastic. We made our way through the Tribute Store which is always a hit and I can't wait to go back.
Like always this was a really fun event, I loved the added photo ops, we got a lot of attention for our shirts (which I made) and we laughed a lot. I'm so glad we started this annual outing!
The following night I headed to Sea World's Howl-O-Scream with my friends Sandy and Bill. The scares started early! Not in the picture above was the scary person who jumped out of that picture! I'm so glad Sandy captured this shot though.
This is the second year Howl-O-Scream has descended on Sea World, it is must more affordable then Horror Nights and just an overall smaller event with only five houses. The upside is each house has a scare zone AND a bar! The cocktails were delicious and the scare zones were an absolute blast. We only made it through three of the houses but that was by choice. I loved the addition of the food booths this year though if I knew all the options I might not have eaten so much for dinner before we arrived. I talked up Howl-O-Scream so much that Tamy wants to join us next year! There were a few little snafus but I'm chalking that up to we went on opening night this year but overall I'm definitely all in next year!
Have you been to Horror Nights or Howl-O-Scream? Do you have an annual spooky season activity? Share in the comments and maybe I'll add them to my yearly rotation!
