Spring Has Sprung!

Spring the time of new beginnings, growth and great weather. This Spring feels especially new and bright as life looks a little more normal and the things we've missed the last few years are available to be enjoyed once again. The plan is to do just that enjoy all that life and Spring have to offer. One of our favorite Springtime activities has been visiting The Grand Floridian to see the beautiful Easter Eggs, we have missed this activity so now that they've returned I booked a breakfast reservation and we headed out for a little day date!

We had an amazing breakfast at The Grand Floridian Cafe, I had the very delicious vanilla French toast with sausage and Tamy had steak and eggs. She didn't share any of that steak but assured me it was delicious, I did get to taste that cheesy potato situation though and it was spectacular.

After breakfast we wondered around the lobby and took photos of the different eggs - these are just some of the chocolate masterpieces! I highly recommend you head over and check them out for yourself. It was really nice to wander around and chat and take photos and pick out our favorite eggs.

We opted to continue enjoying the beautiful day by enjoying the beautiful weather and walking around outside the resort. We took photos and we laughed and we made plans. It felt good to go out and do the things we've always enjoyed doing again. It didn't hurt that I had my new camera in tow to take some fun photos!

I'm fully embracing Spring this year, the weather has been amazing, our activities are back, I'm finding that balance between work and home, I feel creative and inspired - the rebirth of Spring right? Soon I'll be sharing Springtime craft projects, more food and recipes, new adventures and activities, in the meantime I encourage you to go out and enjoy the Spring, here are a few ideas:

  1. Head to a local park or garden and enjoy being outdoors, take pictures, have a picnic, hold hands!

  2. Decorate for Spring! Pull out those Easter baskets, flowers, and pastel banners and bring some cheerfulness inside.

  3. Head to a Farmer's Market (or a local produce stand) and pick up some seasonal ingredients and cook up something with delicious fresh ingredients. If you don't like to cook don't worry cutting up fresh seasonal fruit to top a store bought pound cake works too!

What Spring activity are you planning to embrace this year? Leave your favorite Spring activities in the comments and I'll try as many of them as I can! If you have a favorite Springtime recipe that you are willing to share I'll try those too! Until our next adventure - Happy Spring!

I, for one, am looking forward to more time spent going for walks/hikes in the many parks that our state has to offer. Also, I’m feeling the urge for a road trip or two.
